Every invoice line includes the VAT treatment, so your accountant knows exactly how each transaction was classified.

The quarterly conversation you can skip

No more emailing spreadsheets back and forth, no more explaining which invoices were reverse charge, no more reformatting data to match what your accountant expects.

Before vs. after

Before

Export invoices. Reformat columns. Add VAT treatment manually. Email. Wait for questions. Clarify. Resend.

After

Click export. Send to accountant. Done.

One-click export

Select a date range, click export. You get a structured CSV file ready to send—no reformatting, no manual cleanup.

Consistent format every time

Same columns, same structure, every export. Your accountant learns the format once and never has to ask about it again.

VAT treatment included

Every invoice line shows its VAT treatment—DOMESTIC, EU_B2B_RC, NON_EU, and others. No guessing which rules were applied.

How it works

Three steps. No spreadsheet gymnastics required.

1) Invoice as normal

Create invoices the way you always do. Invoxo captures client details, VAT treatment, and amounts automatically as you work.

  • VAT treatment assigned per invoice
  • Client details captured once

2) Generate export

When it is time to send data to your accountant, select the period and click export. The CSV includes everything they need.

  • Select date range
  • Download structured CSV

3) Send to accountant

Attach the file and send. VAT treatment is on every line, so there are no follow-up questions about how transactions were classified.

  • No reformatting needed
  • No back-and-forth emails

What's in the export

A structured CSV with everything your accountant needs to process your invoices.

Every row includes

  • Invoice number — unique identifier for each invoice
  • Issue date — when the invoice was issued
  • Client name — who was invoiced
  • VAT treatment — DOMESTIC, EU_B2B_RC, EU_B2C, NON_EU, and others
  • Net amount — invoice amount before VAT
  • VAT amount — calculated VAT for the invoice
  • Total amount — net plus VAT
  • Currency — transaction currency

Why this matters

No interpretation required

Your accountant does not have to figure out which invoices were reverse charge or which clients are outside the EU. It is right there on every line.

Import-ready

Standard CSV format that works with any accounting software or spreadsheet tool your accountant prefers.

Matches your invoices

The data in the export comes directly from your issued invoices. What your accountant sees matches what your clients received.

Why accountants prefer structured exports

VAT treatment on every line

No guessing which invoices were reverse charge, which were domestic, or which were outside the EU. The treatment is explicit on every row.

Immutable records

Once an invoice is issued, its tax data is locked. The export reflects exactly what was on the invoice—no after-the-fact edits.

Consistent format

Same columns, same structure, every time. Your accountant learns the format once and can process it without questions.

Works with any accountant

Standard CSV that any accountant can open, import, or process. No proprietary formats or special software required.

Accountant Exports – Common questions

What format is the export?
The export is a standard CSV file with consistent columns: invoice number, date, client, VAT treatment, net amount, VAT amount, total, and currency. It opens in any spreadsheet application and can be imported into most accounting software.
What VAT treatment details are included?
Every invoice row includes the exact VAT treatment that was applied—DOMESTIC, EU_B2B_RC, EU_B2C, EU_B2C_OSS, or NON_EU. This tells your accountant precisely how each transaction was classified for VAT purposes, without them having to check each invoice individually.
How is this different from the Business VAT Close Pack?
The accountant export is a structured CSV designed for your accountant to process invoices. The Business VAT Close Pack is a comprehensive quarterly reporting package that includes VAT summaries, breakdowns by treatment, and supporting documentation for filing. The export gives your accountant the data; the Close Pack gives them the analysis.
Which plan includes accountant exports?
Accountant exports are available on the Pro plan. All plans include standard invoice management and VAT treatment assignment. The Pro plan adds structured exports designed specifically for sharing with your accountant.

Disclaimer: Invoxo provides invoicing tooling with structured exports. For accounting and tax filing, work with your accountant.
